M Series Medium-Duty Slurry Pump Full Introduction

M Series Medium-Duty Slurry Pump Full Introduction

M Series Medium-Duty Slurry Pump Full Introduction
Series Classification

1. M Metal Type: A05 high-chrome impeller, throat bush & frame plate liner, withstand medium hard ore particles 4–8mm;

2. MR Rubber Lined Type: Integral molded natural rubber liner, anti weak acid & chloride ion, only for smooth fine particles ≤4mm, angular coarse ore forbidden;

3. Load Position Comparison:

    - L: Light duty, solid concentration ≤30%, fine particle intermittent service

    - M: Medium duty, concentration 30%–50%, medium particle semi-continuous production

    - AH: Heavy duty, max concentration 60%, coarse particle 24h full-time concentrator

    - HH: High head heavy pump for single-stage ultra-high pressure long-distance delivery

Overall Back Pull-Out Double Casing Structure
1. Double Pressure-Bearing Casing
Outer ductile iron shell bears pipeline pressure, inner replaceable wear-resistant throat bush & frame plate liner. Casing wall thickness & frame size between L light pump and AH heavy pump. Discharge outlet adjustable to 8 angles at 45° intervals for flexible pipeline layout.
2. Medium-Duty Semi-Open Impeller
Blade thickness thicker than L pump, thinner than AH pump; auxiliary back expeller vanes reduce slurry pressure entering seal chamber. Metal/rubber impeller fully interchangeable with AH series for unified spare parts management.
3. Medium-Width Bearing Cartridge Assembly
Wider bearing span than L pump, stronger axial thrust bearing capacity; grease lubrication standard, optional oil lubrication & PT100 temperature sensor for 16–20h daily semi-continuous operation.
4. Three Standard Shaft Seal Options
① Expeller centrifugal seal (no flushing water, ideal for flotation froth & filtrate); ② Packing gland seal (economic solution); ③ Double-end cartridge mechanical seal (for desulfurization & chemical corrosive medium).
5. Multiple Drive Modes

DC direct coupling motor, CR parallel V-belt, ZVZ vertical V-belt, CV vertical belt drive. V-belt speed-up available to adjust head for small-medium hydrocyclone feeding.

Working Principle

Motor drives main shaft and semi-open impeller to rotate at high speed, medium concentration solid-liquid slurry flows axially into pump chamber. Centrifugal force pressurizes slurry; back auxiliary vanes form negative pressure barrier to prevent slurry intrusion into seal cavity. Double casing isolates high-pressure medium, only inner liner bears particle erosion, worn liner can be replaced separately without whole casing change. Optimized two-phase flow hydraulic profile balances efficiency and abrasion resistance, perfectly matching medium wear & medium concentration comprehensive working conditions.

Core Advantages

1. Balanced Comprehensive Performance & Optimal Cost Performance

Higher abrasion resistance & load capacity than L light pump, initial purchase price 20%–35% lower than same-size AH heavy pump, the mainstream general pump for medium & small concentrators.

2. Interchangeable Metal / Rubber Liner

Same pump body directly compatible with metal or rubber wetted parts: M metal for neutral abrasive ore slurry, MR rubber lined for acidic flotation reagent & FGD filtrate, one unit fits two kinds of media.

3. Stable Semi-Continuous Operation

Medium widened bearing & thickened casing support 16–20h long daily operation, far superior to L light pump only for intermittent start-stop service.

4. Universal Spare Parts, Low Maintenance Cost

Impeller, throat bush & liner interchangeable with AH heavy slurry pump, unified spare parts stock reduces procurement & replacement expense.

5. Fast Overhaul with Back Pull-Out Design

Rotor assembly can be pulled out without disconnecting inlet & outlet pipelines, single-person maintenance shortens production downtime.

6. Support Series Connection for Pressure Boost

Multiple M pumps can be installed in series for medium-distance tailing & slurry transportation to make up insufficient single-stage head, avoiding expensive HH high-head pump investment.

Limitations (Selection Restrictions)
1. Not applicable for coarse ore lumps over 8mm & heavy steel slag impact working conditions, AH heavy pump mandatory for such service;
2. Cannot support full 24/7 year-round heavy continuous production, choose AH pump for all-day long-term operation;
3. Service life of MR rubber liner shorter than duplex steel FGD pump under high chloride & strong corrosion medium;

4. Max single-stage head lower than HH high-head slurry pump, not recommended for long-distance ultra-high pressure transportation over 60m.

Standard Performance Scope

- Nominal Diameter: 25–400mm (1–16 inch)

- Flow Rate: 5–6800 m³/h

- Single-Stage Head: 6–68 m

- Rotation Speed Range: 600–2400 r/min (max 2400 r/min via belt speed-up)

- Allowable Slurry Concentration by Weight: 30%~50%

- Max Passable Solid Particle: M metal ≤8mm; MR rubber ≤4mm smooth fine particle

- Max Medium Temperature: ≤80℃

- Applicable pH Range: M metal 4–10; MR rubber 2–12

- Matched Motor Power: 4–630 kW

Applicable Industries & Media

1. Medium & Small Mineral Processing (Core Application)

Flotation cell feeding, hydrocyclone feed, concentrate delivery, middling circulation, low-concentration tailing transfer;

2. Thermal Power FGD Auxiliary System

Desulfurization filtrate pump, dilute limestone slurry transport, gypsum overflow, emergency recovery slurry;

3. Coal Washing Plant

Medium concentration coal slurry, flotation clean coal, light medium circulation pulp;

4. Non-Metallic Ore (Graphite, Fluorite, Phosphate Rock)

Acidic flotation ore slurry, fine particle tailing transportation;

5. Environmental Protection & Building Materials

Ceramic mud, dilute lime slurry, sewage sludge with fine silt;

6. Chemical Hydrometallurgy

Low-concentration crystalline corrosive pulp, dilute leaching slurry delivery.

Key Selection Guidelines
1. Prioritize M medium-duty pump if slurry solid content 30%–50%, particle size 4–8mm & 16h daily production, best cost performance;
2. Select MR rubber lined model for fine particle medium containing acid/chloride (flotation & desulfurization); choose M high-chrome metal for neutral medium abrasive ore slurry;
3. If particle over 8mm coarse ore & full 24h concentrator production, AH heavy pump is mandatory, M pump forbidden;
4. Adopt two or more M pumps in series for insufficient single-stage head & medium-distance transportation; switch to HH high-head pump for total head over 90m;
5. Equip YB flameproof motor for flammable chemical & desulfurization workshop environment;

6. Reserve 12% margin for flow & head, medium concentration slurry brings higher pipeline friction loss than clean water.

Daily Maintenance Instructions
1. Supply continuous low-pressure clean flushing water to mechanical seal during operation; dry running without flushing water will burn seal instantly.
2. Refill bearing grease every 500 running hours for grease-lubricated bearing; replace lubricating oil every 2000 hours for oil-lubricated type.
3. Flush pump chamber thoroughly with clean water after each shift shutdown to prevent mineral slurry & reagent crystallization jamming impeller.
4. Inspect wear of throat bush & frame plate liner regularly; replace worn parts immediately once clearance exceeds standard to avoid casing penetration.
5. Avoid high-temperature medium & strong oxidizing reagent for MR rubber lined model to delay rubber aging.
6. Fully drain slurry inside pump for long-term shutdown, flush all wetted components with fresh water and coat anti-rust grease before storage.
